F. * The Town Hall Questions in Geneva…..Look for them on YouTube tonight by Googling Democrats Abroad Town Hall

Change

1. All candidates -- Democrats and Republicans alike -- are arguing that the 2008 election is about change. What does "change" mean? As a Democrat looking ahead to the 2008 election, what changes do you want to see take place, and what are some of the top priorities for change?

Disengagement from Iraq

2. All the Democratic candidates favor disengagement from Iraq. However, there is disagreement as to when and how to disengage. Some of the candidates' disagreements are about phased versus immediate withdrawal of troops, whether or not to retain residual troops (for training or other non-combat purposes), and differing ideas about removing all troops to bases in neighboring countries. What are your views on how to disengage from Iraq?

Exports to the US

3. American politicians like to present the United States as the greatest country in the history of the world. Yet, many Americans living in Switzerland and elsewhere abroad like to think that they have acquired a broader, possibly more balanced perspective about America's role in the world. In what ways could the US learn from Switzerland and other countries? If you could export three things to the United States that you have come to appreciate in Switzerland, what would they be? (Aside from watches, chocolate, and cheese!)

Restoring American Integrity

4. What should a Democratic administration and Congress do to restore respect and admiration for the United States abroad? What should our government do to be considered a democratic model, and to restore its role as a force for justice?   The press is expected to cover us in full force: TSR, Tribune de Geneve, TSI, Le Temps, Radio Lac, RSR, NZZ, Swissinfo, ATS, WRS.  REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR PASSPORT.
